Urban Aeronautics is pleased to announce that Eran Ron, will be stepping in as interim chief executive officer, effective December 1 st.
In addition to being a longtime board member of Urban Aeronautics, Ron also serves as an advisor for Besadno Group, and founder and chairman of Rinsberg Holding Ltd. He has extensive experience in the air mobility industry, having served as a fighter pilot and instructor in the Israeli Air force. Ron previously served as a diplomat for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, as well.
“Eran is the best choice to bridge the change in leadership at Urban Aeronautics,” said Urban Aeronautics Founder Rafi Yoeli. “We are committed to ensuring a successful transition as we continue to secure another round of funding for the development of the hydrogen-fuel-cell-powered CityHawk for both EMS and air taxi.”

The board appointed Ron following Nimrod Golan-Yanay’s decision to step down as CEO earlier this month. Eran Ron will use his expertise to ensure Urban Aeronautics continues its forward momentum in new financing and business partnerships and engineering milestones. He will also lead the company’s executive search for a new chief executive.
