Advanced safety systems

The CityHawk is designed from its core to provide the safety level of commercial flights. Full redundancy for every critical system and logic is used to protect passengers through all phases of flight. This includes an avionics and sensor suite for the urban canyon pilot with embedded AI systems to give pilots the ability to see around corners, walls, and other objects, detecting and avoiding obstacles and incoming traffic during flight.  An auto-deployable parachute is the last resort fail-safe option.

Simplified pilot system

The CityHawk is developed with a high level of automation. A high-fidelity, 360-degree sensor system allows for pilot support during flight to reduce pilot workload and reduce initial training time. This system makes flying easier and helps the pilot to focus on the mission, look out for and handle any oncoming situation while ultimately increasing overall safety.

Proprietary FancraftTM enclosed rotor system

Enclosed rotors and guiding vanes are the proprietary core of the CityHawk. They provide stability of the craft in strong winds and turbulence during takeoff, hovering, and landing. The enclosed rotors provide augmented thrust within a smaller diameter. Containing the noise of the fast-moving rotor blade tips and covering the rotors from outside obstacles such as other aircraft or ground equipment, providing safety for people to walk around it even while the blades are turning. The enclosed rotors are inherently resistant to blade icing in cold-weather operations.

Greener, more sustainable flight

The CityHawk is a fully-electric aircraft with multiple hydrogen fuel cell stacks for power generation, an electric motor, and fly-by-wire system. Hydrogen fuel stacks are clean power systems that generate electricity and emit only heat and water. It is the future of commercial clean flight and is used abundantly today for trucks, backup generators, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
